Finding The Courage To Change

Greetings Family,

Imagine 25 years from now……

Do you want the next generation to still be struggling with self hate and white supremacy?
Will you be the armchair activist only expressing keyboard outrage?
I know you don’t want that.

You want to live in a world which honors your culture, accepts you for who you are, and rewards your God given gifts. Challenging this system is scary, but you do have the power to destroy it.
If you really want to manifest a legacy of empowerment, your future needs you to find the courage to start taking action today.

Take one moment at time, to face your truth and own how you enable white supremacy.

There was a time when I was terrified of opening up because of my black shame.

The pain and fear of passing old trauma onto my daughter became the catalyst for building a legacy of hope and freedom for her and my community.

I certainly didn’t know what I was doing, but my surrender and searching for answers told the Universe that I was ready to change my life.

Your courage will seed, the moment you become open to your truth.

The late Dr Maya Angelou said,
“One isn’t born with courage. One develops it. And you develop it by doing small, courageous things.’

Just for today,

I will remember that often the things that cause me the most pain, can turn out to be my greatest triumphs.
